(Disaster Training Offered) FEMA offers online courses that are free to the public. These are at www.training.fema.gov/IS/ No cost involved, all you need is a PC or a laptop and the time to spend to do it. When you go to site, click on the TAB marked "FEMA Independent study" , then click on "ISP course list", now select the course you wish to take. You will see a small menu to the right, select "Download materials". You will enroll in this course when you complete the online answer sheet for the final exam and will be notified by Independent Study Office via email. The link to the final exam questions and online answer sheet submission page is found at the end of each course overview page. (Recommend that you follow the numbered courses in order when you take the courses).

You will be issued a Certificate by FEMA and you may get college credit for it through Frederick Community College (FCC). Go to www.emergencymanagementstudy.com/content/default.asp to apply for it. Unkown if there is a cost involved to get the credits. Please make copies of your certificates to be put in your training files at your organizations office. If your church is a partner with RAMA, they will need a copy for the command Center, submit it to Dave Ortiz at the Church of the Nazarene, 32 Tidemill lane, Hampton, VA. for the training files. I have taken some of these and they are really worth it.
